Hey everyone! So I finally landed in Seoul a couple days ago. First thing I've noticed is how cold it is here. As a L.A. guy, I'm definitely not used to this weather.
I got to meet a few relatives today and it was great seeing them again. Since it's the lunar new year, I had to bow to the elders and wish them a happy new year. Got a little money out of it which was a nice gesture.
Pictures are coming soon so keep posted. In the meantime, check out my hotel!

Breaking Bread
I really don't what to say in terms of me moving to Korea. Today marks the official one week countdown to me flying out. And that's really what I have been mostly thinking about.
Over the past week and a half, I've been literally stuffing myself with food that I'm going to miss (I'll post pictures in the next blog). I've probably gained a little around the midsection, but it has been well worth it. But what I think I'm going to miss more is the people that I have been eating with. Yes, the food is amazing. But what I take away the most from those meals is the absolute hilarity that ensues during those meals. I seriously have the best friends in the world.
As for an update on how I'm doing to prep for Korea, it's quite sad to say that I really haven't started much. Yes, I know exactly what to bring. But in terms of execution, I have failed to do much. I think the reason is that I don't have a panicking feeling in my gut yet. That feeling for me is what gets me to do things efficiently. It's gotten me through college and in other ventures. And when that feeling comes rushing back to me, I'll know that it's time.
Oh wait.... Here it comes.

P.S. I just saw Julie & Julia yesterday. I loved it!

Countdown to Korea!
Today, I booked my flight to South Korea. February 11th @ 10:30AM.
I already know I'm going to miss all the aspects that LA in known for. And one that is near and dear to me is the food. Everyone knows you can get pretty much anything to eat, no matter where you are in this great city. So I am doing my best to cram as much food as I can that is indigenous to LA. You can say it's a bit like a food bucket list.To start it off, Fab Hot Dogs.

Pie Fundraising Complete!
Sorry I haven't written in sooner, but better late than never.
So my fundraising is finally over and I am proud to announce that it raised $242 for Toys for Tots! Yeah!!!! Whoooo! It was a real joy to start it up and a even bigger joy to see how many people joined the cause. And thank you for all the compliments on the pies that you guys gave me. It really means the world to me.
It definitely was a learning experience for me as well. I learned to be a lot more efficient with my baking and learned a lot about time management. There were days where I spent it all on baking so that came in the clutch. While the experience was tiring, it was a really joy doing it!
So as I stated earlier, $242 raised with a total of 40 pies made in one month. WOW! Until the next one, thanks guys!
